Day 57 - Sarah’s First Flat - Antartiko, Greece to Agios Panteleimon, Greece
August 12, 2026 - biked 74 km (46 mi) - biked 2016 km (1252 mi) total
We find ourselves biking in northern Greece which turns out to be wine country! We tried to go to Alpha Estate winery which is on the way to our campsite by the lake, but with my flat and a one hour time change we didn’t get on the road until about 11am.

Our last animal riding a bike sticker to give away. Maybe today will be its day!

Same dog now watching breakfast

Huge nectarines in the oatmeal

Started to ride off into the hills but realized that my tire was completely flat. Probably one of those spines again!

Thankfully David’s an expert at fixing flats now.

In Pisoderi.

So many freshwater springs! People were filling up bottles and the water was cold.

Greece is the land of the roadside gazebo.

Apparently this is also a big ski town!

We made it to the top! Florina is in the distance.

Florina was very cute and we stopped for lunch in a park where a woman gave us her email in case we needed help. And we gave her kid the last sticker!

At the beginning of this trip we saw young sunflowers, and now we're seeing dried out ones! Summer is getting closer to being over.

Aww Greek grandma saw us getting water in Vevi, and gave us soda. She was so happy to see us. She's in the background.

Tons of signs with bears but we didn’t see any of them which further confirms my anti-bear aura.

Cookie break in Amyndeo.

We're camping at Lake Vegoritida.

Campsite is right on the lake!

And free! It used to be a paid campsite, but was abandoned. People kept camping there so the city put in bathrooms. This is the first free campsite on the trip!

We had a magnificent swim.

Dinner with Greek salad! The cheese is hard, creamy and salty. The drizzled olive oil is the best we had.
