Day 39 - Camping at a Bar - Baćina, Croatia to Dračevo, Bosnia & Hercegovina
July 25, 2026 - biked 36 km (22 mi) - biked 1381 km (858 mi) total
After a light bike day, we made it to Bosnia & Herzegovina! The border was a bit intimidating since all other border crossings we just biked right through. Here they had a guard who scanned our passports and took our pictures.
Once in B&H, we immediately noticed all the trash on the side of the road. It was a bit sad since everything else was so green and beautiful.
Our cheapest campsite was tonight. Only 10 Euro for both of us. It was basically a river beach bar that we camped in front of. Very limited amenities but we don’t need much.

Lunch time

Local drink but this time with lime taste

Another 60’s modernist energy

Sometimes you have to trespass through tunnels

A little climbing but its asphalt

A memorial to a canal during WWII that helped bring supplies to Dubrovnik.

All the bridges in Croatia are painted this same color blue.

Stopping to get some fuel for our camping experience.

The boarder post crossing.

This is the Čiro trail! Another old rail grade turn bike path.

Rusty bridges

Broken bridges that were pretty scary to cross.

But this fisherman was chill about the loose boards and open gaps

I held on to the railing and would sacrifice my bike to the water below if anything snapped.

Gnocchi dinner again

Our campsite by the water.
