Day 30 - Gravel Roads good or bad? - Zadar, Croatia to Prosika, Croatia

July 20, 2026 - biked 55 km (34 mi) - biked 1232 km (765 mi) total

We wake up without our normal 7:30 or 8am alarm because we had a late night and want to sleep. But you can never sleep in late when it gets blazing hot first thing in the morning.

Plus gravel miles should be counted differently. So tough on our road bikes.

Breakfast on the beach in our pjs.
When swimming yesterday, something pricked me in the water. I pried most of it out but I needed to do surgery.

Steel gravel roads to walk up. Not my favorite. I miss my mountain bike
David’s always waiting for me.
We arrived in town and needed food immediately.

Weird camp we passed by
This is gravel I can ride.
Set up camp first then swim
Rice, beans, tuna and paprika chips
Ended with two Croatian beers that I didn’t like but David liked this one.
Drinks I wish we had again. So reviving!
