Packing up after breakfast.Second ferry of the trip! No horses this time.Get ready to ride down a gravel road on the side of this canal forever. For some reason, none of the windmills were spinning. Also barely pictured, the route we were following went through an industrial wasteland that was now off-limits.Our bikes eat lunch. Two penguins meet two swans. Swans are too big to feel safe near. Some steep old streets.Up to an old walled church! There was this weird "airlock" to prevent motorcycles from going on this one dirt road. It also almost prevented us.I am loving the street shade. I want this for Sarah's pergola.New best traffic circle art: live goats. There was a lot of suburbia outside of Marseille and it was brutal.Kettle Chips take note.Final pass over a ridge into Marseille. Hot, cars, slow. Nice shoulder though. A drunk guy at a convenience store told us to go this way because we might burn alive by fire the other way?The rocks got huge. This was pretty and reminded me of the Sierras. We also saw a pig right after this moment.Right as we rounded the last bend. This picture does not do it justice. Train bridge with Marseille in the distance across a bay.People were out. There were three miles of cars parked on a windy road to get to this beach.Maybe we got soft from too much time in the country but Marseille was a shitshow to bike around and was crazy. Chaos in all directions. What a move.We got Tunisian food! Highlight was the homemade lemonade. We stayed at a friend of a friend's apartment, whose flatmate was away. We continue the tradition of not showing any sleeping arrangements.
